The IN: Connection Project aims to bring together healthcare professionals working across the spectrum of chronic inflammatory disease to share knowledge and promote peer-to-peer support.
In: Connection is based on the idea that health conditions are often interconnected and require a holistic approach. This is called ‘One Health.’
The name is derived from the first two letters of inflammatory -‘IN’ disease. This then expanded to ideas of INterconnectedness, INterprofessional collaboration, and INterdisciplinary approaches to whole health.
The name was also to play on the phrase: “in connection with”, as connectors of health, wellbeing and human relationships.
